1. QUALCOM SYNOPSIS:

Very good imaging of Copernicus and Tycho regions once inititial problems were resolved.

1) Images were very good at BOS but there was no signal from WWV. Battery on Sennheiser transmitter was changed to no avail. Panel Light Display on Sennheiser receiver mounted on top of LIMO was showing no signal so wiring inside the trailer was not suspected. About 45 mins into mission a bad connection with the phono plug into the DX-160 was discovered. This issue was problematic at times when the Q monitor in the MADAR room was checked before. Contacts will be cleaned before the next mission. WWV was established.

2) First time that images became degraded by a vibration noticed on the monitors. Although a firmer positioning of the turret drum should be utilized it appears that the alumaflex dew shield was probably catching the occasional light breeze and was distorting the images. Also resolved at the 45 min mark the images became exceptional at this point.

Mission was terminated earlier than planned when the target entered an obstruction to the south.

Good mission with lessons learned.

Work on turret azimuth bearing bolt storing problem.
