BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Freundlich is an 85 km lunar crater that is located on the lunar Far Side, the subject of Ridge Section 097. It lies midway between the craters Trumpler to the north-northwest and the irregular Buys-Ballot (Ridge Section 98) to the south-southeast. This crater has a circular rim that is more heavily eroded at the northern and southern ends. Groups of craters lie across the floor to the southeast and the north, and individual small craters lie elsewhere within the interior. The major part of the crater Shayn lies in the NE corner of Section 97.  (Credit: Some of the information used in the section feature descriptions was obtained from wikipedia.org.
