BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The South Pole of the Moon lies in the center of the bottom edge of the
Section. Observation of the area close to the pole is very difficult and some
parts are constantly hidden behind hills and crater walls. Space probes have
yet to map this region in detail. Refer to your copy of the Antonin Rukl
lunar atlas chart, page 173.
