BRIEF
DESCRIPTION
A crater field south of Mare Nubium is dominated by the
crater Tycho, which is one of the most prominent craters on the
Moon and the center of the most extensive system of bright rays.
Surveyor 7 soft-landed close to the northern rim of Tycho. Refer
to your Antonin Rukl lunar atlas chart, page 155.
